Flores 2025
Flores 2025: Golden Spice & Dark Fruit Nectar
Distilled from selected high-grade Flores shavings, this 2025 release captures the rich, opulent side of Gyrinops agarwood. By employing a zero-soak (un-fermented) method in a copper pot paired with a glass condenser, the heavy, dark notes of traditional oud are completely set aside. What remains is an extraordinarily clean, translucent profile defined by warm spice, luscious fruit sweetness, and gentle resinous depth.
The Scent Journey
The Opening: Sweet Tamarind & Green Spice
The oil glides onto the skin with an instant, intriguing burst of sweet-sour fruit and aromatic freshness. It opens with notes of ripe tamarind, green plum, and a fleeting touch of crushed clove leaf. Thanks to the inert glass condenser, these delicate, volatile top notes remain extraordinarily vibrant, sharp, and untamed by metallic heaviness.
The Heart: Lush Dried Fig & Black Tea
As the initial spicy sparkle settles, the copper pot’s refining effect comes forward, revealing a soft, mouth-watering core. A luscious fruitiness unfolds evoking sun-dried figs, stewed stone fruits, and sweet black tea complemented by a gentle thread of raw, wild honey. It is a warm, comforting, and uplifting heart that feels entirely natural and deep.
The Base: Clean Resin & Soft Wood
Because this oil was distilled from fine shavings rather than dense, heavy incense-grade log wood, the drydown avoids dark smoke or heavy earth. Instead, it rests on a light, golden foundation of smooth cedar, clean resinous sap, and a faint, sweet mineral warmth. It lingers close to the skin like a warm, sunlit breeze passing through an island forest.
